		<description>What I have to say is, get your soil tested to know for sure what or if you need to fertilize.  Do good weekly soaking&#039;s to keep the roots wet, add bone meal to the soil and maybe some iron.  I think your Mag should be ok.  Just plenty of water and a little love should do it alot of good.  </description>

i recall it&#039;s a star magnolia.  
i live in northern california, mendocino county. we have hot summers,it&#039;s possible it didnt get enough water. 
it&#039;s about 6 ft tall, it&#039;s pretty spindly.  
i am fine never touching it again w/clippers, but i really want it to live!  </description>
