In 1988, Kevin Pigg started mowing as many yards as his time would allow. After many years of yard work and schooling, P.I.G.G. Landscaping & Design, LLC, is one of the most experienced landscaping companies in Middle Tennessee.
Our Mission with ThePiggPin.com is to provide you with accurate personal experience and information about anything Home & Garden.
Come grow with us as we celebrate our 23rd year this year!! 2011 is shaping up to be a great year. Starting in Feb, we have relocated to 1714 Sparta Pike in Lebanon, Tn 37090. We have purchased this 5 acre lot and have erected greenhouses and converted to wholesale to the public for plants and landscape supplies. We are glad to be serving Middle Tennessee in this capacity. We are growing many of the plants we sell, which qualifies us to not have to charge sales tax on any plant material. Come and see what all plants we have to offer.

I'm curious about your blog's name, Pigg Pin. Are you talking about a pig pen? Or is this a play on words?

This is the 'area', our 'pin' where all this wonderful information is stored together. And Yes, it is a play on words. We Love To Play In The Dirt!!

1. Will there be q new retail location?
2. Why did you close West Main Garden Center

Doug, I am not selling retail anymore. I will be selling wholesale to the public. I will update the location later. Right now it is online or on the phone and I am offering local free delivery. I closed West Main Garden Center because I was not selling enough to pay all the overhead. I was tired of selling plants at retail prices just to break even. Now I can sell at wholesale prices and still make money!

Hey Kevin,
Following you on Twitter. Different USDA zones, different fauna and flora. What zone is Knoxville and what sites do you recommend for that area? Have friends there who need a bit of assistance!

Actually, Knoxville is basically the same zone as I am in. Nashville and Knoxville are right along the border of 6 and 7. The same plants grow, and the climate is the same. Knoxville might get some extra cold snaps that I don't due to the mountains though. If I can help, let me know
